The Kartel was concocted on dreams and tequila. Since sobbering up, the founders realized that the site has actually grown to become one of the industry's most recognized spots for entertainment nonsense.

The Kartel's purpose is to bring together gamers, bloggers, and entertainment companies into one big ol heap of fun. The Kartel is designed to encourage community members to be actively involved, and rewards community members for doing so. Anyone can get their hands on cool games and goodies just by earning $Karma Points. Just create a blog, post in the forums, or make a comment, and BADABING! You are earning $Karma Points.

While we do have a group of editors who post up fun and original stories each day, anyone can create a blog, and potentially get featured on the homepage. Yeah, we strive to enlighten you with some relevant news and nonsense, but for the most part, we're just here to entertain.

The Kartel is an alliance of different entities mixed into one orgy of a site. We got a fan site like Sega Nerds. We have game development partners that we work with like Monkey Paw.
