Hackers Swap Sonic Generations’ Classic and Modern Levels
Longtime Sonic fans are looking forward to Sonic Generations finally breaking the Sonic Cycle, showing how SEGA’s mascot has evolved. With carefully crafted levels specially designed for the two different generations of the hedgehog, everything is perfectly planned. That is, until hackers swapped the classic Sonic with the modern one, creating an entirely different play experience for an entirely different generation.

YouTube user PegLegJimmy has hacked Sonic Generations to swap the two characters’ levels, months before its release date in the fall. With one style designed around meticulous planning and the other around breakneck speed, it is interesting to see how vastly different each character plays out of their element.
However, the relative speed of this modification and the lack of cease-and-desist letters from SEGA might indicate that this is an official feature in the final version. Looks like we’ll find out the truth behind the matter this fall.

Prefers the taller and faster Sonic
So what’s the difference exactly between modern and classic Sonic? The play styles never seemed to different to me.
they’re both the same to me.
LOL at datguy’s comment.
Where is the Dreamcast Classics?
Would Dreamcast Classics for PSN/XBLA have been killed by SEGA Vitnage’s Collection????
You guys are slipping….
The modern Looks nice. If its a hack, he did well!
Classic Sonic in modern levels was cool I must say. And LOL @ Modern Sonic sliding for days on the classic level.
Seems awesome
I hope they bring out more DLC for the game.
